SAE Projects

Supervised Agricultural Experiences: the work members do outside the classroom.

What an SAE is

A Supervised Agricultural Experience is a student-led, educator-supervised project in agriculture, natural resources or food production. Every member keeps one. Members record hours, income and skills in the AET (opens in a new tab), work from a written plan approved by Mrs. George and review their progress through the year.

Fairs

The Jackson County Fair is held in Maquoketa, and many members show livestock and exhibit projects there. At the 2026 Iowa State Fair, Madie Herring showed rabbits, Jack Strodtman sheep and Alexis Poll goats.
