About Our Chapter
Agricultural education, leadership and hands-on learning for Cardinals.
What we are
Maquoketa Ag Education & FFA brings together the agricultural education classes at Maquoketa High School and the FFA chapter that grows out of them. Students learn in the classroom, in the greenhouse, on the farm and in the community, and put it to work through competitions, service and leadership. FFA is part of the National FFA Organization; our school mascot is the Cardinal.
FFA vision and mission
The FFA vision: growing the next generation of leaders who will change the world.
The FFA mission: FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
Advisor
Mrs. George (Cassie George) advises the chapter and teaches horticulture, marketing, FFA history and more. She is a Maquoketa FFA alum (officer team 2014–2015), runs the greenhouse program and organizes the chapter’s annual awards ceremony.
